Brooke Sparks, Master’s Level intern

she / her

Hi! I’m Brooke, and I’m a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of West Georgia. I have twenty years of experience working with kids ranging in age from infancy through young adulthood, first as a nanny and then as a teacher in Montessori, K-12, and college settings. I decided to transition into counseling because I love connecting with and supporting kids and teens in one-on-one and small group settings, and I believe in the ability of people at any age to grow, change, become the best version of themselves, and navigate the world with curiosity and grace. My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment in which kids and teens can feel empowered to explore their strengths, clarify their values, and gain confidence in their ability to handle whatever challenges come their way.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, writing, practicing Italian, and spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to be part of the team at Gaia and to have the opportunity to support kids and their families through the therapeutic process.
